The start of groundwork Add Video

Garrabeg Cherokee doing the start of his ground work in the field today. He was so good and well behaved and coped with it all in his stride. It is important to work quietly and consistently and to remain calm if the foal overreacts they are depending on us to show them what we want. Work on flexing, backing and moving the hindquarters and showing your baby things they may come across as they get older. It is to our benefit. Do Not overdrill or work too long and tire them out 10 to 20 mins two or three times a week is enough at this stage.
